S.J.G. Greater NC Sports Brings The Official Greater NC Pro-Am Basketball League Back To The Triangle For A Third Year

"The Rucker of the South" 2010 Season featuring Professional Celebrities, College All-Stars and Top-Rated High School Athletes tips off July 1st in Durham

DURHAM, North Carolina (June 22, 2010) - At the Tobacco Road Sports Café in Durham, S.J.G. Greater NC Sports announced today that it is continuing the Greater NC Pro-AM Summer League for a third consecutive year. Jerry Stackhouse is again the celebrity host for this summer and North Carolina Central University has been selected as the season's University host.

The 2010 season runs July 1st through August 8th. All games are played at NCCU's McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 10pm. The tournament finals will be held August 6, 7 and 8.

Termed "The Rucker of the South," S.J.G. Greater NC Pro-AM mixes seasoned professional players with show- stopping rookies. The league is a premier basketball showcase that combines professional players, local college superstars and top high school basketball talent all on the same team and all under one roof... where else will you find a Players like Jerry Stackhouse, Number One NBA Pick John Wall, 2-Time NBA Champion Josh Powell, members of the 2009 & 2010 NCAA National Champions, newcomers to the ACC as well as high-school all-stars playing against each other!

Admission is FREE and the games continue to support the Triangle community and many of its organizations, such as Bridge 2 Sports, Green Starts With Me, International Dementia Research Foundation, Communities in Schools of Durham, American Diabetes Foundation, The Rodney Rogers Foundation and Triple Threat Foundation.
